Gretsch Brooklyn Drum Kit

Born in 1883 Gretsch first began as a small music shop in Brooklyn, specialising in banjos, drums and tambourines. Today, Gretsch are a hugely established and widely appreciated guitar, bass and drum brand. Gretsch became an iconic American drum brand through their guarantee to deliver high-quality products that offer that “Great Gretsch Sound” every time. Some of the professional musicians that have tried and loved Gretsch include Max Roach, Tony Williams, Art Blakey, Vinnie Colaiuta, Mark Guiliana, Phil Collins, Charlie Watts, Taylor Hawkins and Steve Ferrone.

Gretsch’s Brooklyn series is the embodiment of Brooklyn, New York and Gretsch Drums inseparable legacy, with a sound that is immediately recognizable, yet distinctively reinvented. Each shell is constructed of 6-ply North American maple/poplar, being slightly thicker than Gretsch’s USA Custom Drums. Complete with 30-degree bearing edges and shell interiors that are finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer, but it doesn’t stop there, as well as the Silver Sealer, each shell is marked with a distinctive Brooklyn internal shell label, identifying the drum shell model number and serial number. Brooklyn toms and snares are outfitted with Gretsch’s “302″ hoops, reminiscent of hoops Gretsch used until the mid 1950’s, these are 3mm thick and double-flanged. The Brooklyn series guarantees stunning full, punchy and warm tones that are complimented by a whole new Gretsch tonal characteristic that is slightly more open and satisfyingly ambient, created by it’s bundle of innovative specifications.
